The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced that tonight’s contest for the Duquesne women’s basketball team against St. Joseph’s will not occur due to a positive COVID-19 test from someone within the Hawks tier one personnel.
This is Duquesne’s second postponed contest of the season with the first coming prior to the team’s Jan. 1 contest at Saint Louis. With that postponed game, Duquesne was already at Saint Louis, arriving a couple of days prior as the men’s teams were set to face off at Chaifetz Arena that night before their contests was also stopped.
Duquesne basketball on Pittsburgh Sports Now is sponsored by The Summit Academy: setting young men on the path to a better future.
Duquesne is still on track to host La Salle on Sunday afternoon at LaRoche University’s Kerr Fitness Center. La Salle fell 65-60 at Saint Bonaventure earlier in the afternoon.
The road return for this Duquesne-St. Joseph’s contest is Feb. 28 and serves as the regular season finale for both. In terms of potentially making the game up there are six days off both teams have between Feb. 20-26. Duquesne would be at La Salle on Feb. 26 with Saint Joseph’s hosting St. Bonaventure before playing each other two days later on Feb. 28, meaning there is a potential window for the contest.
