Pittsburgh Sports Now is excited to announce the addition of Christopher Miller to our staff of writers.
Miller’s focus will be on Pitt wrestling and high school wrestling along with covering the West Virginia wrestling team for our brother site, West Virginia Sports Now. In case you missed it, Miller had a tremendous feature this morning on Pitt wrestler Jake Wentzel along with a story on Thursday with former Franklin Regional great and current Iowa wrestler Spencer Lee.
In terms of his background, Miller is from Western Pennsylvania as he was born in Monroeville and raised in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, but attended Shady Side Academy. From there, Christopher basically became what he calls a professional student from 2013 to 2020. First, he earned both bachelor degrees from Ohio University in 2017. Then, he earned his first masters degree from NYU in 2019, and a second masters degree from Northwestern in 2020.
At each university, Christopher covered the schools teams for various university publications and other local outlets. Also, he has spent time in media relations at Ohio, Pitt, NYU and Northwestern. Christopher has collegiate and freelance experience covering multiple sports, including NCAA wrestling, most recently at InterMat as a freelancer.
At Pittsburgh Sports Now, Christopher will serve as our wrestling writer, bringing coverage and commentary on Pitt, WVU, prep and general wrestling news.
