Pitt will have a new opponent this weekend after Saturday’s scheduled home game against Florida State was postponed due to COVID-19 testing in the Seminoles program.
Instead, Pitt will visit Virginia, the ACC announced on Wednesday. The Panthers and Cavaliers will tip off at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The game, which had originally been scheduled for Feb. 24, will be broadcast on ESPN.
Additionally, Pitt will play at Georgia Tech on Feb. 14. That game will tip off at 4 p.m. on ACC Network. The Panthers and Yellow Jackets had originally been scheduled to play on Jan. 13, before a positive test in the Georgia Tech program caused its postponement.
Pitt’s game against Florida State has not yet been re-scheduled, as well as a game that had been scheduled at Duke for Dec. 29.
