Pitt has been able to pull two 4-star defensive backs from state of Georgia over the last two years and they’re trying to do it again.
Two years ago it was cornerback Rashad Battle from Fairburn, Georgia and in this years Class of 2021 it was prized cornerback Khalil Anderson from Atlanta, Georgia. For the Class of 2022, Pitt’s Georgia recruiting ace Archie Collins has his eyes set on Marcus Allen.

Allen is a 4-star cornerback Marcus Allen (6-foot-2, 175 pound) from Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia. The talented defensive back has racked up close to 30 offers but has decided to narrow that list down.
Allen announced on Twitter that his Top 10 schools are (in no order): Pitt, Michigan State, Michigan, Georgia, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Miami, North Carolina, Georgia Tech and Boston College. Teams that didn’t make his cut includes Cincinnati, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Rutgers, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
It should be pointed out that Allen has a brother (Derrik) that currently plays for Geoff Collins and Georgia Tech but Allen has said that won’t influence his final decision. Considering he hasn’t had an opportunity to visit Pittsburgh yet, the biggest thing the Panthers going for them is the relationship that Allen has created with Collins.
Allen would like to make his decision prior to this senior season but really wants the opportunity to get out and visit other college campuses. The only two places he’s had the chance to see in person are Georgia and Georgia Tech.
