Following their 71-65 loss on Sunday at Georgia Tech, the Pitt Panthers find themselves under .500 in the ACC for the first time this 2020-21 season.
Jeff Capel’s team is now 5-6 in conference, 9-7 overall and have lost 5 of their last 6 games. While the Panthers have been competitive in each of these games aside the Notre Dame contest, a loss is a loss and once again, Pitt looks as though they won’t be participating in the NCAA Tournament.
In examining this untimely late season losing stream, it’s hard to pin-point one exact thing as being the biggest culprit leading to Pitt’s struggles. It would be fair to bring up things such as: decline in overall team defense, inconsistent point guard play, not enough shots for Justin Champagnie, the loss of John Hugley, lack of secondary scoring from players such as Nike Sibande.
Our PSN Poll Question today is what would you name as the biggest problem for the Pitt basketball team?

Just watching Champagnie play, I’m afraid he has an injury. He just isn’t making the kind of quick moves he is known for that would get him more shots. An exception in the GT game was his dunk on a rebound with two GT players hanging on him. Of course no foul was called.
