The Pitt staff was busy recruiting Monday evening and it led to an offer.

2022 offensive tackle Ryan Brubaker (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) from Cocalico High School in Denver, Pennsylvania (near Reading and Lancaster). Pitt becomes Brubaker’s seventh Power Five offer along with ones from Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Arizona State and Virginia.

In their just completed Class of 2021, Pitt signed offensive tackle Kyle Fugedi (6-foot-6, 295 pounds), who also played ice hockey at Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan.

Moments after announcing the news from Pitt, Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke to Brubaker and learned that the big offensive line was a member of another sports team in high school–the swim team.

Brubaker was an enjoyable player to to talk to as he told us about an interesting nickname Borbely already has for him, what it’s like being a 280 pound competitive swimmer and, of course, football and Pitt.
