The big news of the day was the news that guard Xavier Johnson was transferring from Pitt.
In the latest addition of Pitt Panther Talk, Alan Saunders and Mike Vukovcan talk in-depth about the loss of Johnson and the future of the program under Jeff Capel.
Listening to Alan’s viewpoint of the Pitt basketball program was depressing as hell. If 13th in the ACC is the average return for this basketball program then Pitt should reevaluate it’s commitment to this program. Capel has not done a good job at either coaching or recruiting at this point in his tenure. To think all of a sudden he’s going to land Efton Reed after this years fiasco is laughable. Alan also talks about Capel’s concentration on the 2022 class. Who have they landed or who are they close to landing Alan?
