Recruiting for the upcoming season along with future classes moves to the front burner for Jeff Capel and his coaching staff now that their 2020-21 season is in the books.

The Pitt Panthers currently have five scholarship openings for the Class of 2021 and extended an offer Friday night to 4-star guard and Top 30 National recruit TyTy Washington.

The other news last evening came when Pitt pulled the trigger with an offer to 2022 guard Alphonzo Billups, who if you’re keeping track became the first official offer of the off-season.

Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke with Billups this morning to get his reaction to the Panthers offer, something he was glad that came after talking with them a lot over the last few months.
