The Robert Morris program is interested in a highly skilled guard that’s currently in the NCAA transfer portal.
Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Andy Toole and the Robert Morris coaching staff conducted a Zoom Call over the weekend with former American University graduate transfer Jamir Harris.
This past season, the 6-foot-2 guard was American’s leading scorer as he averaged 20.5 points per game, while shooting 47% from the field. Toole is looking to add some veteran leadership and a playmaker at guard for the Colonials.
Harris is drawing plenty of interest as he’s heard from plenty of other programs such as Rhode Island, Kansas State, South Alabama, Arkansas, San Diego State, Stanford, Seton Hall and Northern Iowa.
Coming out of St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Harris was a 3-star recruit that actually signed with Minnesota before transferring to American University. Along with Minnesota, he held other offers from Alabama, Creighton, Seton Hall, Princeton, Stanford and Penn.
