The first official recruiting weekend for the Pitt Panthers is shaping up to be one with filled with many highly sought after players including a new name added to the list.
Pittsburgh Sports Now confirmed Tuesday night that four-star linebacker Travious Lathan from Gulliver Prep in Miami, Florida will make an official visit to Pitt from June 3-5.
Lathan (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) is rated by 247 Sports as one of the Top 200 juniors, as well as one of the top twenty outside linebackers in the country. Along with Pitt, Lathan holds offers from programs such as Florida, LSU, Miami, Oregon, Arizona State, Florida State, Michigan, Mississippi State, Penn State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Lathan is being recruited by Pitt ace Florida recruiter Charlie Partridge.
Other top talent visiting Pitt the first weekend of June are three-star wide receiver Marcus Peterson (Lake City, Florida), three-star athlete Patrick Body (Gateway High School), four-star defensive end Tyreese Fearbry (Perry Academy), three-star wide receiver Dominique McKenzie (Saint George, Utah), three-star athlete Marcus McKenzie (Saint George, Utah) and three-star athlete Xavier Townsend (Tampa, Florida).
