For the second time today, Pitt has locked up an official visit from a defensive lineman.

Class of 2022 3-star defensive end Jimmy Scott (6-foot-3, 250 pounds) from St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, New York will make an official visit to Pitt from June 10-12. Scott is a player that Pitt has been recruiting for well over a year, with him officially receiving an offer from Tim Salem back in April 2020.

Scott actually gave a verbal commitment to Tennessee in August of 2020 but has since de-committed following the firing of Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Along with Pitt, Scott holds offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, NC State, Rutgers, Texas A&M, Boston College, Colorado, Duke, Maryland, Minnesota, Syracuse and West Virginia.

This is the third official visit that Scott has scheduled with the other two with Colorado (June 4-6) and West Virginia (June 24-26).

Scott becomes the 18th player to schedule a June official visit to Pitt and the 3rd player from the state of New York.
