Published

on

After Pitt lost five players to the transfer portal this season, fans freaked out.

Justifiable? Yes. Five is a large number. However, there are plenty of teams out there who are going through the same thing.

In fact, as of Friday, April 2, 46 of the 76 major conference teams (ACC, Big East, Big 12, Big 10, Pac 12, SEC) have lost at least three transfers to the portal so far. That is, 61% of all major conference teams have lost at least three of their guys.

In this piece, I go conference-by-conference, showing just how many programs are dealing with this new recruiting trend and how there are plenty of programs out there in a similar situation as Pitt.
