On Thursday, former Fordham forward Joel Soriano decided to commit to St. Johns, over Pitt, Oklahoma State, and others.

Soriano is a 6-foot-11, 250-pound forward from Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York. Last season with Fordham, Soriano averaged 27.1 minutes, 10.4 points, 9.2 rebounds per game and shot 55.8% from the field.
Pitt hosted a zoom call with Soriano back on April 8, but the pitch was not enough, as the New York native opted to play for St. Johns.
As Pitt misses out on another potential big man prospect in the portal, all eyes are now on 2021 five star Efton Reid, who will be making his decision sometime today.
