Evidence is being presented that shows a different side of the story than what was originally conveyed in the Aaron Donald alleged assault case.
Days after assault charges were filed by DeVincent Spriggs against Aaron Donald, video evidence reveals that the NFL great looks to be the peacemaker in the after hours club incident this past weekend.
Casey White, Donald’s defense attorney, says that surveillance video shows that Donald never touched Spriggs and that Spriggs was the aggressor and attempted to hit Donald in his head with a bottle. According to White, after Spriggs grazed Donald’s head, other people attempted to defend Donald from further harm. The surveillance video shows that Donald actually came to the defense of Spriggs after people on the street started attacking him.
According to a report from KDKA-TV’s Andy Sheehan, Pittsburgh Police have confirmed that the surveillance video has corroborated White’s statement that Spriggs was never touched or physically harmed by Donald.
White tells Sheehan that he received an email from Police saying, “I agree thus far there is no evidence from that video that shows Donald assaulting the victim, period.”
The incident that took place last weekend reportedly left Spriggs wiry a broken nose, broken orbital bone, a broken arm and a concussion but the claim that this was a result of a attack from Donald now appears to be a false claim.
White also appeared on The Fan Morning Show on Friday with Chris Mack and Colin Dunlap.
My apologies to Aaron for even thinking some dude could draw him into a fight.
