More community support is being shown for former Pine-Richland football coach Eric Kasperowicz.
KDKA Radio is reporting that a rally has been scheduled for tonight in support of Kasperowicz. According to 1020 AM, the Pine-Richland Youth United Football and Cheer Organization have organized the rally.
This rally is scheduled to take place at Richland Park, starting at 7:15 p.m.
In an e-mail sent by this organization, they stated “There is rarely an example of what we want for our children’s future like Coach K. We as members of this community want to retain key people that make it great like Coach Kasperowicz.”
Other examples of support over the last week shown for Kasperowicz include a board member resigning following his firing along with Gateway football coach and athletic director Don Holl sending an email to the Pennsylvania HS football coach association asking them not to apply for the Pine-Richard opening.
Since being let go, Kasperowicz has re-applied for his old job.
