Night one of the 2021 NFL Draft is in the book with round two and three getting underway at 7 PM.
No Pitt Panther was expected to get selected in the first round but there’s a possibility one hears their name called sometime Friday night.
Before the end of the draft on Sunday, as many as seven Panthers could get selected which would be the highest number for the Pitt program in the modern era of the NFL Draft. Six Pitt players were drafted in 2004: Larry Fitzgerald (1st round), Shawntae Spencer (2nd round), Kris Wilson (2nd round), Claude Harriott (5th round), Andy Lee (6th round), Brandon Miree (7th round).
The question is which member of Pat Narduzzi’s team will break the ice and hear his name selected first? The possibilities include: Rashad Weaver, Patrick Jones, Damar Hamlin, Jaylan Twyman and Paris Ford.

Nice photo of a holding penalty.
It’s a shame Twyman didn’t play last year. It costed him millions of $$$!!!
