Hundreds of football players across the country fulfilled a life-time dream over the weekend of getting drafted into the NFL.
That was definitely the case with six members of the Pitt Panthers football program, as Patrick Jones (3rd round/Minnesota Vikings), Rashad Weaver (4th round/Tennessee Titans), Jason Pinnock (5th round/NY Jets), Jaylen Twyman (6th round /Minnesota Vikings), Damar Hamlin (6th round/Buffalo Bills) and Jimmy Morrisey (7th round) became 2021 NFL draft picks.
This was an emotional weekend for all of these players as emotions went from nervousness to pure excitement after receiving the phone call from their new football home.
