For the second time in the last couple days, a player from Georgia has picked up his first Power Five offer from Pitt.
On Wednesday, 2022 cornerback Antwon Jackson found out from Archie Collins that he’d earned his first D-1 offer. Two days later, Jackson’s teammate got similar news.
2022 wide receiver Daveon Walker (Warner Robins, Georgia) got the same call from Collins, which resulted in his first Power Five offer. Walker’s other D-1 offer came from Liberty. Walker (6’2″, 180) is coming off a season of 49 catches, 790 yards and 7 touchdowns.

“I received the offer from Coach Collins, after he offered my teammate (Antwon Jackson). He said that he saw my film and I go against him (Jackson) everyday in practice and after seeing my film, he told me that I have to go get me,” said Walker. “After he told me I had the offer, I was really excited because it was my first Power Five offer. After offering me, Coach told me that he really likes the way I play football and that I’m the dude and he wants to get me down there.”
“I believe that I’m a player that can do it all. I can jump, I can run, I can break tackles, I can juke the defensive back and I can run through you. I really just love competing. I really believe that no one can guard me on the field.”
With his first Power Five offer in hand, Walker plans to get out this summer and showcase himself to more programs. He tells PSN that he plans on camping at Ole Miss, along with Liberty, Mercer and says there’s a chance that he comes and makes a visit to Pitt.
