Offensive Tackle Liam Dick to Transfer from Pitt

Published

on

Pitt offensive tackle Liam Dick has decided to leave the football program and enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. This news was first reported by 247 Sports.

The big offensive tackle (6-foot-7, 300 pounds) from Mississauga, Ontario was a member of Pitt’s Class of 2019. Dicks becomes the eighth player to enter the transfer portal from Pitt since the end of the season, joining QB Logan Clause, WR Will Gipson, OT Carson Van Lynn, RB Paris Brown, RB Malik Newton, WR Michael Smith and DB Brassir Stocker.

Dick redshirted his first season and then did not play in any games last season, so he’ll have four seasons of athletic eligibility remaining.

With the additions of a number of offensive tackles over the last couple of recruiting classes like Terrence Enos, Terrence Rankl, Branson Taylor, Michael Statham and Matthew Goncalves, Dick had dropped on the Panther offensive line depth chart so playing time in the near future was no guarantee.

Pitt was the first Power Five school to offer Dick a scholarship back in 2018 after he traveled to Pittsburgh to take part in a Pitt prospects camp.
