On Thursday, the ACC announced the schedule for the 2021-22 bowl games that ACC teams will be eligible for. In 2019, the ACC announced that ACC teams will compete in this lineup of bowls until at least 2025.

In 2020, Pitt chose to opt out of postseason play due to the pandemic. Also due to the pandemic, the NCAA’s six-win bowl eligibility requirement was waived for the 2020 season, and every team in the FBS was deemed eligible for the postseason.
