Campus visits became available once again on June 1 following the crazy 14+ months of the pandemic that shook up all worlds, including sports. This weekend, eight recruits from the Class of 2022 will be making official visits to Pitt, confirmed by PSN.
Marcus Peterson, wide receiver, Lake City, Fla., ⭐⭐⭐: In 2020, the 6-foot-4 receiver caught 19 passes for 286 yards and 7 touchdowns in 11 games. A triple threat on the offense, Peterson also ran for 205 yards with 4 touchdowns on 50 carries, and threw for 637 yards and six scores.
On April 3, Peterson announced that his final six was between Pitt, Florida State, Miami, UCF, Cincinnati, and Kansas.

Brian Parker II, guard/center, Cincinnati, Ohio, ⭐⭐⭐: In 2020, the 6-foot-5, 280-pound Parker was named First-Team All-Greater Catholic League, was the GCL Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year, and was named First-Team All-State by MaxPreps.
Parker’s other offers include Louisville, Cincinnati, and Coastal Carolina, among others.
Tyreese Fearbry, defensive end, Pittsburgh, Pa., ⭐⭐⭐⭐: A Perry product, Fearbry racked up 29 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and five sacks in five games in 2020. The 6-foot-5, 217-pound edge rusher was named to the City League All-Conference team in 2020.
Fearbry, who made an unofficial visit to Pitt on June 1, also has offers from schools such as Auburn, Miami, Missouri, Penn State, Michigan State, and West Virginia, among many others.

Sean FitzSimmons, defensive tackle, Pittsburgh, Pa.,⭐⭐⭐: In 2020, FitzSimmons recorded 112 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, and 18 sacks, and was named to the WPIAL Class 3A Northwestern Six All-Conference team at both offensive and defensive lineman.
The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Central Valley prospect committed to Pitt on April 9.

Leyton Nelson, offensive tackle, Orlando, Fla., ⭐⭐⭐: At 6-foot-6, 284 pounds, Nelson already has tremendous size for the position, and Pitt was the first of many Power-Five offers for Nelson.
Nelson’s other offers include Maryland, Utah, Auburn, USC, Penn State, Oregon, Tennessee, Miami, and Florida State.
Dominique McKenzie, wide receiver, St. George, Utah, ⭐⭐⭐: McKenzie put up 84 catches for 1,719 yards and 18 touchdowns in 14 games in 2020. McKenzie, who also runs track, is known for his speed, boasting a 10.60-second 100-meter dash time. His twin brother, Marcus, who is also a three-star receiver, will make an unofficial visit to Pitt alongside his brother.

Travious Lathan, outside linebacker, Miami, Fla., ⭐⭐⭐⭐: In 2020, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Lathan put up 20 tackles in six games, and added 14 catches for 239 yards and two scores as a receiver.
Other notable offers for Lathan include Oregon, LSU, Georgia, and Maryland.
Ryland Gandy, cornerback, Buford, Ga., ⭐⭐⭐: The 6-foot, 170-pound Gandy and Buford High School won there second consecutive state championship in 2020.
Gandy holds other offers from Auburn, Colorado, Nebraska, Boston College, and West Virginia.
