Pitt 2021 All 105: RB Israel Abanikanda

All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.

2 • Israel Abanikanda, sophomore running back

Stats: Finished 2020 with 95 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, with a long of 10. Added two catches for 11 yards and a touchdown.

Camp outlook: With a promising performance in the Blue-Gold game, Abanikanda showed off his quick cuts and bursts of speed, allowing him to get to the outside and the second level with a head of steam.

Projected role: In the rotation of running backs, Abanikanda looks ready for an increased workload and has the potential to breakout as the main option moving forward.
