Pitt is still looking for that young center to develop and have their eyes on a player from North Carolina.
Monday morning, the Pitt staff extended an offer to 2022 center Christ Essandoko (7-foot, 265 pounds) from Winston Salem Christian High School in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The developing big man moved to the United States from France a few years ago.
Despite being 7-foot, Essandoko can provide offense from both the inside and outside along with being an above average passer.
At this point, Essandoko holds offers from Georgetown, Maryland, Rutgers, Seton Hall, San Diego State, Wake Forest and South Florida.
Essandoko becomes the fifth center in the Class of 2022 to receive an offer from Pitt, joining Dereck Lively, Favour Aire, Matthew Filipowski and Michael Moore.
