After initially scheduling an unofficial visit on June 9, Christian Winborne and the Pitt staff had to postpone the trip due to the weather, Winborne told Pittsburgh Sports Now late Tuesday night.
The weather forecast in Pittsburgh includes heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. The Baltimore native said he and the Pitt staff are going to push the visit back to sometime later this month, hoping to find an exact date in the coming weeks.
Winborne is a 6-foot-2, three-star guard who plays for Gilman High School and Team Thrill. He is being recruited by Pitt, Kansas State, LSU, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Creighton, and more. He does not currently hold an offer from Pitt, however, he was looking forward to developing a closer relationship with the coaches on the visit.
“I am just looking forward to getting a grasp on the campus,” Winborne told PSN earlier this month. “I am looking forward to being able to meet the coaches in person, and just looking around, experiencing new things.”
Over the next few weeks, Pitt is scheduled to host plenty of prospects on visits, including Bryce Lindsay and Noah Batchelor over the upcoming weekend.
