For the second day in a row, Pitt has landed a commitment from a player from New York.
After landing 3-star defensive end Jimmy Scott (Athol Springs, New York) on Monday, 3-star wide receiver Addison Copeland commits to Pitt and becomes the 7th member of their Class of 2022.

The 6’3”, 190 pound native of Buffalo, New York is the second offensive player (Jordaan Bailey) and first wide receiver in this years class.
This is an impressive get for Pitt as they weren’t in serious contention for this big playing-making receiver until this weekends official visit. Copeland was able to bond with players on the team, particularly New York native SirVocea Dennis and his future position coach Brennan Marion.
Like with Scott, who was originally committed to Tennessee, Copeland gave a verbal to Rutgers back in September of 2020 before de-committing back in February after receiving an offer from Notre Dame.
Along with Pitt and Notre Dame, Copeland also held offers from Rutgers, South Carolina, Boston College, BYU, Indiana, Penn State and UMass.
Copeland adds another talented piece to the Panther wide receiver room. Over the last two classes, Pitt has added Myles Alston, Jaden Bradley, Jordan Addison and Jaylon Barden.

Scott and Copeland were the ‘Pat Signals’ from Sunday. Pittsburgh Sports Now is told that the player that committed on Monday morning will reveal his commitment on Wednesday.
