All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.
85 • Garrett Bickhart, redshirt senior wide receiver
Last year: The 6-foot-5, 225 pound receiver played in the first four games of his collegiate career in 2020.
Stats: He made two receptions for 16 yards in the season opener against Austin Peay.
Camp outlook: Bickhart earned a spot on the Panthers’ roster by walking on during training camp in 2017, so he’s no stranger to hard work. It will take some of that and then some to carve out a role from the players ahead of him on the depth chart, but at 6-foot-5, Bickhart is taller than every scholarship receiver.
Projected role: With a stacked receivers room ahead of him, Bickhart probably won’t see much playing time in 2021: he played both offense and defense in high school, though, and that versatility could give him a chance on special teams.
Accolades, highlights: An all around athlete, Bickhart won First-Team All NTL (Northern Tier League) Large School honors in football and basketball and was all-region as a defensive back in high school.
