Despite the fact that Pitt is hosting players in the Class of 2022 on official visits and have players that they have serious interest in, that doesn’t mean that they’ve stopped scouting and potentially offering upcoming seniors.

A case in point of that is 2022 lineman Bradley Mann from Jacksonville, Florida. The 6-foot-6, 260-pound lineman holds offers from Appalachian State, Army, Florida International, Indiana, Liberty, Louisville, Tulane, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Mann received a call from Tim Salem on Friday letting him know that his latest offer was coming from the Pitt Panthers.

“I had been talking to Coach Salem and (offensive line coach Dave) Borbely for a week or two now,” Mann told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “He told me that they really like my film and they showed it to the head coach and he liked it too so we’d like to offer you a scholarship to Pitt. So, after getting that news, I’m going to take a visit to Pitt this coming Monday.”

Although his recruiting profile has Mann listed as a defensive lineman, Pitt is looking at him as an offensive tackle. He told PSNN that about half the teams recruiting him are looking at him as a defensive lineman and the other half as an offensive tackle.

“I really don’t care what side of the ball that I’m playing on as long as I’m playing football then I’m a happy guy,” Mann said. “I’m 260 pounds right now so I’m not one of those 300-pound lineman, but I believe my strengths are my athleticism and my footwork on the line. I’m a physical player and I’ll keep going at you until you’re on your back so they really like that about me too.”

Like most players in June, Mann has been busy with visits, having already gone to Appalachian State, Liberty, Wake Forest and NC State. In the near future, he will be making official visits to Louisville next weekend and is in the process of scheduling an official to Indiana. Next up though, is a trip to Pitt on Monday.

“I’m really excited about getting up there because Coach Salem has sent me a lot of pictures,” said Mann. “It looks like a great place, especially being partners with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s extremely cool plus Pitt is just a great university.”
