Pitt Offers 2022 4-Star Washington DC Standout Christian Watson

More offers from the Pitt basketball program to highly rated juniors.

Wednesday night, Jeff Capel extended an offer to 2022 4-star small forward Christian Watson from St. John’s College High School in Washington, DC. Watson (6’7″, 195) who also plays for the AAU program DC Premier, has scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Creighton, DePaul, George Mason, George Washington, Georgetown, LSU, Marquette, Miami, Penn State, Providence, Rhode Island, Rutgers, Saint Joseph’s, Seton Hall, South Carolina, VCU and Xavier.

Pitt and in particular Milan Brown has been in contact with Watson for sometime now but formally extended him the offer today. Prior to getting the offer, Watson was already arranging an unofficial visit to Pitt later this summer.

To complete their Class of 2022, Pitt is looking to still add a big man and a wing with a skillset like Watson. Aside from being a player that’s able to finish around the rim, his real strength is his ability to stretch the defense with his 3-point shot.

247 Sports rates Watson as the No. 115 overall player in the Class of 2022 and the No. 1 junior coming out of Washington D.C.

Watson received this offer right before his AAU practice and will talk to Pittsburgh Sports Now later this evening about his latest offer.

Too bad Capel and Pitt NEVER get players like this. . . who cares how many offers he makes he ends up with, for the most part, a bunch of 3-stars no one else in the ACC is interested in. And if he does sign a player they are gone after one season anyway. What’s the big deal with this guy anyway. . . he’s been a loser, figure it out.
