Last year: Played in six games with one start after Jimmy Morrissey moved from center to guard to fill in for injuries. 2020 was Drexel’s second season as top reserve center.
Stats: One start in nine career games played for the Panthers after redshirting as a freshman.
Camp outlook: Following the loss of the aforementioned Morrissey to the NFL, Pitt can turn to Drexel, who has the experience necessary to succeed as the starter.
Projected role: Drexel likely has the starting job, but guard Jake Kradel can also play center if need be.
Accolades, Highlights: Ranked as the nation’s number 13 center prospect by ESPN and the number 7 prospect in New Jersey coming out of high school.
