Four-Star Cam Whitmore Releases Top Ten, Leaves Pitt Out

On Thursday, one of the highest-ranked players on Pitt’s radar, Cam Whitmore, announced his top ten list, and it did not include the Panthers.

While Whitmore is seemingly off-the-table for Pitt now, look for the staff to continue to recruit other prospects in the class, especially those who have previously visited Pitt, including Dominick Barlow, Bryce Lindsay, Jerome Beya, and others.

Pitt does not have much of a campus compared to other schools in the ACC, or country for that matter. It is a hard sell.

What!? That all depends on what you’re looking for in a campus. You cant compare Pitt’s urban campus to most of the other ACC campuses. Compare it to NYU, Northeastern, Boston University. Pitt is arguably nicer than those. At least I thought so when I was choosing between schools in cities.

the beginning of the recruiting with Capel offering top players every year to fool Pitt into believing he can recruit them. Then as every previous year none of these recruits sign with Pitt. The same will be true in 2022. At least Naz gets one or two. It is time to let Capel go after this season. We know recuits for 2022 will be disappointing and you have to be blind to not be aware he can not coach. Only chance he had was getting Orlando autigua to come back to Pitt as assistant with promise of being next H.C.… Read more »

Same old story with Capel: make a big deal with offers but close no one of consequence. When will Pitt administration and fans figure this out?
