Pitt 2021 All 105: P Cam Guess
All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.
92 • Cam Guess, redshirt freshman punter
Last year: Joined Pitt as a preferred walk-on in January of 2020 after early graduation from Belle Vernon.
Stats: As a kicker and punter in high school, Guess made 53 of 56 extra points and 1 of 2 field goals his senior year. He also maintained an average of 40 yards per punt.
Camp outlook: This season will be the last for long time Pitt punter Kirk Christodoulou, leaving a spot open for next season. Pitt received commitment from Australian prospect Sam Vander Haar in May, so he will join the Panthers next season.
Projected role: Next season will most likely be up to who wins the battle between Guess and Vander Haar, but this season will be all Christodoulou. As mentioned before, Guess does have experience at kicker, so that makes him an emergency option.
Accolades, Highlights: Named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers All-Class 4A team and was rated as the number 1 punter at the 2019 Kohl’s Kicking Camps.
