Published

on

All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.

31 • Erick Hallett II, redshirt junior defensive back

Last Year: Hallett, a 5-foot-11, 190 pound safety, appeared in 10 games, making four starts down the stretch following Paris Ford’s departure from the team.

Stats: Hallett has two interceptions, eight passes defended, and 44 total tackles in two years of playing time, much of which came as a reserve or on special teams.

Camp outlook: Hallett missed the entirety of spring practices due to offseason surgery, so he may need to prove his worth at the top of the depth chart this summer.

Projected role: Hallett is the presumptive successor to Damar Hamlin at free safety for the Panthers.

Accolades, highlights: Hallett was a three-star recruit out of high school and also competed in track and field.
