Published

on

All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.

9 • Brandon Hill, redshirt sophomore safety

Last year: Played in 10 games, making two starts against Florida State and Georgia Tech.

Stats: Racked up 27 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and an interception in those 10 games.

Camp outlook: With Damar Hamlin and Paris Ford moving on to the NFL, Hill and other safeties like Erick Hallett II, M.J. Devonshire, and Judson Tallandier II will get chances to prove themselves.

Projected role: Hill took over at strong safety when Ford opted out midway through last season, and he will likely continue at that spot to start the upcoming campaign.

Accolades, Highlights: Had eight tackles, a forced fumble, and a 50-yard pick-six against Florida State to earn ACC Defensive Back of the Week.
