On Friday, Pitt big man John Hugley announced a big move for his personal brand, weeks after the NCAA finally allowed players to profit off of their name, image, and likeness.
Hugley launched a website called Big John Apparel, under the URL bigjohn.site. Big John’s collection contains nine items, all with Hugley’s animated character of himself somewhere on the clothing. He offers T-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, crewnecks, shorts, and sweatpants, with prices ranging from $25 for a youth shirt to $40 for a pair of sweatpants.
To build this site, the rising sophomore partnered with Boosted Biz, a brand-building website that offers free web store building for free. The company has helped numerous college athletes with personal sites as well as professional athletes, including Terrell Owens and John Wall.
Hugley is entering his second season with the Panthers, after coming in as one of Jeff Capel’s highest ranked high-school recruits. In his freshman season, he averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in seven appearances. While his season was cut short due to legal troubles, Hugley is now back with the team and is looking to make a huge statement on the court for Pitt this season.

If I buy a shirt, will he promise not to steal anymore cars?
