While it hasn’t gotten much attention, the Pitt coaching staff has quietly put in a ton of time and effort recruiting a highly thought of lineman from Ohio.

The 6-foot-7, 320-pound lineman holds a long offer list that includes schools like Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State, Virginia, Cincinnati, Baylor, Arizona State, Duke, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

The highly regarded tackle made his four official visits to Virginia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State and is ready to make his decision.
Baer has announced that he will make his college choice on August 5, which is the day of his mother’s birthday.
Despite not making an official visit to Pitt, there is growing optimism that Pat Narduzzi’s program could be in position to land Baer. It should be pointed out that Baer did make an unofficial visit to Pitt on June 15.
247Sports national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong is forecasting Baer to select Pitt and overall, the 247Sports Crystal Ball has a confidence score of 90.9% that Pitt will be it.
Regardless of his final choice, credit Archie Collins, Dave Borbely and Narduzzi for the recruiting effort of Baer, who would be a big piece to Pitt’s Class of 2022.

Let’s get this young man a NIL deal, namely with Budd Baer. From a football perspective, Ryan Baer can tag team with Branson Taylor and open up the OH recruiting pipeline as well as a lot of holes.
