All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.
11 • Taysir Mack, redshirt senior wide receiver
Last Year: Mack played a limited role in 2020 as he recovered from offseason hernia and ankle surgeries, recording 23 catches for 305 yards in eight games.
Stats: Mack, formerly a transfer from Indiana, is 6-foot-2, weighs 190 pounds and has 111 catches for 1,598 yards and six touchdowns in his three years at Pitt.
Camp outlook: Although he hasn’t been a Panther as long as Tre Tipton, Mack has the most starting experience of anyone in Pitt’s receiving room. He could have a special swan song in a healthy 2021 season.
Projected role: Mack has started when healthy for most of his Pitt career, even in a loaded receiving corps. 2021 will be no different.
Accolades, highlights: Mack’s speed makes him a big play threat whenever he touches the ball. He made the game-winning catch in the 2019 Quick Lane Bowl, a 25-yard touchdown with less than a minute remaining.
