Watch: Pitt Defensive End Dayon Hayes Speaks to the Media

Published

on

Despite losing Rashad Weaver and Patrick Jones to the NFL in April, the Pitt defense still has an abundance of talent at defensive end.

One of the players fighting to earn a spot at the top of the depth chart is redshirt freshman Dayon Hayes, formerly of Westinghouse High School.

In 5 games last season, the 6’3”, 260 rush end registered 2.5 sacks in limited action.

Hayes spoke with the media, including Alan Saunders from Pittsburgh Sports Now, following training camp on the South Side on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

The Sound quality is a disgrace. The noise! If they are going to let these young men be interviewed they should allow them to be interviewed in a more conducive manner.
