Here’s a recruiting update on a couple of players that we’ve reported on being recruited by the Pitt football program.
Twin brothers Dominique and Marcus McKenzie (Saint George, Utah) and Panthers had mutual interest going back to when Brennan Marion first extended them scholarship offers back in March. The pair of 3-star athletes eventually went on to make official visits to Pitt during the first week of June.
However, neither Dominique nor Marcus will be coming to Pitt.

It appears as though both sides have backed away from their initial interest. From the Pitt side, factors such as limited scholarships along with already receiving commitments from players at a similar position could have played into it. Pitt was recruiting Dominique to play as a wide receiver and Marcus as a defensive back and were intrigued by the speed that both players posses.
Originally, the McKenzie brothers were set to make their decisions on August 11 but as PSN reported last week, that decision was delayed.
We are now being told that both Marcus and Dominique will make their decision sometime in mid-September and will choose between Virginia and Oregon. They will be attending the same college.
Mc Kenzie’s say: “Not happening, hosers!”
I was hoping someone would make a McKenzie brothers joke.
