Last season for Western Kentucky, Pouye started all 23 games and averaged 10.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. The native of Kaolack, Senegal also collected two 20 point games along with three double-doubles.

“Fatou is a game ready addition,” said Burt. “Having very good success at Western Kentucky, we expect Fatou to be ready to help us the moment she steps on campus. Fatou has a pro mentality with her work ethic, athleticism, and skill set. Fatou allows us to play with small or big lineups and gives us a strong rebounding presence, especially on the offensive glass.”

Prior to her her time at Western Kentucky, Pouye played two seasons at South Georgia Tech (JUCO), where she earned second team all-region as a sophomore.
