On Monday, Pitt announced its full non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season.

The Panthers will kick off their season against Gannon (Division II) in an exhibition contest at home on Nov. 1, followed by the first home game against The Citadel on Nov. 9. The non-conference slate features 10 home games, one road game (at West Virginia), and one neutral site game (against St. Johns at Madison Square Garden).

As for the home games, Pitt’s toughest tests will likely be against Minnesota and Vanderbilt, the lone high-major schools on the list.

The UMBC game might be a sneaky tough one, since they’re plucky and coached by Jim Ferry now.

several games on the list will be tough .. not sure about sneaky but tough nonetheless. haven’t seen this squad play together yet so it’s difficult to pick Ws&Ls but preliminary estimate could see 3-4 losses on that list.
