COVID-19 is once again impacting the athletics department at Robert Morris University.
The school announced on Friday morning that the Colonials football season opener tomorrow at Dayton has been canceled due to positive tests within the Robert Morris program and related safety concerns.
When announcing the cancellation, the university reminds everyone that the health and safety of the RMU and Moon Township community remains paramount as RMU Athletics continues to follow university, local, state and national guidelines when dealing with COVID-10.
No announcement has been made on whether this game will be attempted to be rescheduled at some point this season.
Robert Morris is scheduled to play next Saturday at Central Michigan.
