On Monday, another Pitt football player took advantage of the new name, image, and likeness rules by starting up a merchandise line.
John Morgan III, a 6-foot-2 defensive lineman, partnered with Campus Mogul to sell #6 T-shirt jerseys. While the Pitt logo is not on the shirts, Morgan’s #6 and last name are printed in Pitt colors on the cotton T-shirts.

Morgan, a native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is one of the most feared players on Pitt’s potent defensive unit this year, and has contributed heavily in each of the past two years. Morgan has increased his sack totals in each of his past two years and finished last season with four sacks for 25 yards lost. In Pitt’s opener against UMass, Morgan tallied two tackles to increase his career total to 30.
