Jeff Capel Extends Late-Night Offer to North Carolina Point Guard Jordan Vick

Late Wednesday evening, Pitt head coach Jeff Capel extended an offer to an up-and-coming prospect out of the state of North Carolina.

Vick, a 5-foot-11 point guard, also holds offers from Florida, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest. He plays his high school ball for Southern Nash High School in Bailey, North Carolina, and plays his AAU ball for Team Durant, a program that Pitt has heavily recruited over the past few years.

“He’s 5’11 right now with a huge wingspan,” Team Durant Recruiting Director Dwayne Wise told Pittsburgh Sports Now about Vick. “You’re looking at a kid that’s projected to be at least 6-foot-3. Even at 5-foot-11, he has the athleticism of a guy that is 6’5, 6’6. He has extraordinary athleticism. He’s a point guard, he can get downhill real easily off the bounce, and he is a first-class defender on or off the ball.”

“He’s a young man that is really, really good in the classroom,” Wise continued. “He has two older siblings and was raised really well. He is a great kid off the court.”
