Can we all at long last give proper credit where credit is due to Coach Narduzzi and this Pitt coaching staff. It takes time to raise the Titanic. The University of Pittsburgh ignored it’s proud football tradition for 40 years and then finally decided to rightfully attempt to resurrect that tradition failing over and over again with lukewarm coaches that always left at the first opportunity. And please let not one nimrod utter the name Chryst ever again. I’m not attempting to disparage the guy but he is among the names in the long list of lukewarm coaches that wanted to leave at the first opportunity. He brought in mediocre talent for the most part and even to this day he is a cardboard cutout at Wisconsin that just lost a game he and his team should have won against a very mediocre Penn State squad that also happens to have a very mediocre and very overrated Coach named Franklin. I really, really want to agree with you but the win-loss column says otherwise. Franklin, and it pains me to say this, has thus far, majorly out-recruited Pitt. Look at all of the 4-Star recruits — and a number of them taken from Pennsylvania. The Panthers recruiting classes need to consistently be ranked in the top-20 nationally if they are ever going to be taken seriously as a consistent top-20 team. That said, I have faith in Heather Lyke and believe that Pitt FB will eventually be serious contenders whether it’s with Narduzzi or a different coach should Duzz not… Read more »
