MOON TWP, Pa. — Whether they were backed up in their own end zone, or starting with a short field to go, it just did not matter as the Moon Area Tigers moved the football at will, moving to 4-0 in their 38-7 dominating win over North Hills, who fell to 2-2.

The scoring started off with an impressive 98-yard drive by the Tigers that featured a barrage of throws and runs. The team went from two-to-two and Dylan Sleva punched in a two-yard run to get the lead.

Then, just like that, Moon recovered an onside kick, and once again was hitting passes over the middle of the field. Ian Foster capped off the short drive with a two-yard touchdown.

North Hills tried to fight back and Robert Dickerson turned nothing into something quickly to cut the lead to 14-7 on a 59-yard screen for a touchdown.

However, Moon was ready to go blow for blow in a shoot-out, and North Hills just did not have the horses.

Moon consistently moved the ball and Ty McGowan hit Taite Beachy to extend the lead to 21-7. The following drive was aided by a turnover that led to a short field to take a 24-7 lead into the half. They opened the half with the help of North Hills again, as a fumble on North Hill’s opening drive led to a walk-in touchdown for Foster to put the lead at 31-7.

Foster recorded the hat trick to cap off another long drive that showed that Moon was going to move the ball no matter where you put them on this night. They extended the lead to 38-7 before the start of the fourth quarter. From there, the game was effectively over.

Moon will continue to test their undefeated season as they head to Fox Chapel next weekend. For North Hills, they will look to rebound against Woodland Hills.
