Pitt Postgame Show: Can Pitt Carry Momentum into ACC Play, Show WMU Loss as Aberration?

Published

on

Pitt scored 77 points in a win, but did it mean anything? Mike Asti and Mike Vukovcan discuss if anything can be taken away from Pitt’s 70-point victory over FCS New Hampshire on this edition of Pittsburgh Postgame on Pittsburgh Sports Live.

While another great performance from Kenny Pickett was not surprising, Pitt running the ball effectively was. Did Pitt show signs of what could be a successful running game moving forward? What will Pitt have to be to beat Georgia Tech next week and Virginia Tech the week after? Would building a winning streak against ACC competition make up for the bad loss to Western Michigan?

Nothing can change the bad loss but that’s over and done with now. They came out focused today as they should and that focus will be needed moving forward. My hope is that the starting offensive line from this game will be the offensive line moving forward. We’ll see how bad they want it as ACC conference play begins.

Unbelievable, when Pitt loses its Narduzzi. When they win, it’s the players. They have the team capable of winning the Coastal. But they need to stay hungry with something to prove which I believe they will. This team is one of the most experienced teams in the country and it will show in conference play. Oh, by the way the reason for that is Narduzzi creating an atmosphere… Read more »

Good teams and that are stacked with talent, like Pitt is, don’t lose to teams like WMU. Nobody is expecting Pitt to run the table, but if they were going to lose any games in their first four contests, it would have been to TN, with the caliber of players they have. Narduzzi is a terrible coach when it comes to X’s and O’s He’s made a career of dumb calls in important games. Heck. Just look at last week’s fourth down attempt. Pitt will beat another good team and then lose to average to bad teams because of Narduzzi.… Read more »
