Kickoff Time Set For Pitt vs. Virginia Tech

Published

on

The ACC conference announced on Monday that Pitt’s game next weekend at Virginia Tech will have a kickoff time of 3:30 PM.

While the game-time is set, which network the game can be viewed is still undetermined. Depending on the results of this weekends games, the Pitt/Virginia Tech game will be shown on either ESPN, ESPN2 or the ACC Network. Here are some of the games this weekend that TV executives will likely be waiting for the outcome of: Florida State (1-4) at North Carolina (3-2), No. 19 Wake Forest (5-0) at Syracuse (3-2) and No. 14 Notre Dame (4-1) at Virginia Tech (3-1). If the Hokies are able to beat Notre Dame, a Pitt/Virginia Tech matchup of two 4-1 teams on ESPN could be a real possibility.

Kickoff times and broadcast networks for Pitt’s games at Heinz Field against Clemson (October 23) and Miami (October 30) also haven’t been announced yet.

With their Thursday night matchup against North Carolina being aired on ESPN, there’s a good chance that four of Pitt’s next five games will be shown on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC.

Consider that the defense could rest. We all know Nazz plays favorites. If he wants to win the Coastal he has to stop worrying about Kenny’s stats and think about sitting his 170 lbs backs and get back to smash mouth football. The OL… Read more »
