After a few weeks of relatively quiet recruiting activity, Pitt will be hosting class-of-2022 prospect Darren Buchanan for an unofficial visit this Saturday, October 9, Buchanan told Pittsburgh Sports Now.
Buchanan, a small forward from Washington D.C., will be making the trip down to Pitt for the team’s season-opening scrimmage.
“I feel good right now, I’m glad I’m able to go visit Pitt,” Buchanan told PSN. “Heard a lot of good things about the campus and just can’t wait to see it and spend time with the coaches.”
A 6-foot-7 senior, Buchanan attends Woodrow Wilson High School and played for Team Durant, the same AAU team as Judah Mintz, on the EYBL circuit this summer. He is ranked as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports and holds offers from Rutgers, Seton Hall, Xavier, VCU, St. Bonaventure, and many more, with additional interest from Clemson, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and others.
