“University of Pittsburgh is an ACC school and I live in the area that’s packed with ACC schools. So, Im familiar with Pitt’s program,” said Van Buren. “I also know several players on the team, so I follow their success on the team. I also like their quarterbacks style of play and he’s having a great year. I am very excited to receive an offer from Pitt”

“My Coach Messay Hailemariam is coordinating a lot of my recruiting. He spoke with Coach Powell and organized a call with us three and after a great talk with Coach Powell, he extended the offer over the phone. It was a good moment.”

“The last few weeks have been exciting for sure. All athletes who want to play at the next level hope to put good film together that college coaches would get excited about. Fortunately, Coach Messay, my mother and mentors are handling the recruiting conversations. I’m more focused on the rest of the games we have this season and getting better. These offers are great but I prefer to have my head down and keep working alongside by brothers.”
