On Tuesday, Kentucky basketball head coach John Calipari made a trip out to the Pittsburgh area to check out one of the WPIAL’s best young stars, Alier Maluk, according to multiple reports.

Maluk, a freshman at Imani Christian Academy, is a 6-foot-10 forward from Bethel Park who has seen his recruitment blow up over the past few months. The class-of-2025 prospect holds offers from Pitt, Seton Hall, Texas A&M, and LSU, and has been hearing from Kentucky for a few months now.
While he clearly has a high ceiling, Maluk is focused on improving one thing above all at the moment.
“I want to improve my body,” Maluk told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “Just getting stronger.”
